Cocktail Meatballs (Fondue)
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp bread crumbs
- 1 tbsp onion (finely chopped)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp thyme
- dash of pepper
- 1/2 lb lean ground beef
- Oil for cooking
- Optional: Worcestershire can be added to make it spicier
- Mix well. Form into ¾ inch meatballs.
- Heat oil.
- Add 1 teaspoon salt. Have meatballs at room temperature and cook about 1 minute.
- Serve with: Beef cubes, chicken pieces, European franks, French fried cheese, vegetables and dip, and bread sticks. Also a variety of sauces for dipping.
