Beef Barley Soup

Instructions
  1. Brown ribs in oil. Add water, tomatoes, onions and salt. Simmer for 11/2 hours. Add carrots, celery, cabbage, barley and parsley. Simmer 45 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat. Cut meat from bones. Return meat to soup. Add more tomatoes and water if necessary. Heat and serve.
